NINTENDO Wii SYSTEM SIMULATED SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR DYNAMIC STANCE TOLERANCE, COORDINATION AND BALANCE.
Elizabeth Nursing and Rehab Center provides comprehensive rehab services which are designed to restore and/or maintain the residents’ abilities at their highest level of functioning.
Physical Therapy:
Muscle strengthening and reeducation are underscored with specific gait and ambulation training, prosthetic evaluation and training, ultrasound and electric stimulation, pain management, wound care and whirlpool therapy, and more.
Occupational Therapy:
Sensory-motor deficits, orthopedic conditions, and neurological problems are addressed with specific goal-oriented activities focused on increasing function during activities of daily living (ADL), safety training, assistive device assessment and training, upper extremity strengthening and coordination, splint fabrication and modification, contractive management, and more.
Speech Therapy:
The latest research findings are combined with current and traditional approaches for outstanding therapeutic management involving language development, fluency and articulation, cognitive/linguistic disorders, feeding/swallowing programs, and more.
The rehab team works collaboratively with the nursing department to provide care, helping the resident gain independence. The team will also make specific recommendations for discharge to the patient’s home.
